For this piece, I printed out a draft of the type in a font I wanted to work off of. I then layered tracing paper over the draft, adding in penciled outlines of where I wanted the roots. Finally, I added another layer for the detail of the roots and the word “rooting”. I brought this draft over to Illustrator to create the final piece.
